I have 1 local dealership that flat out tells you they prioritize based on if you bought the rig from them or not.

I'm not sure if ancira does that or not, but when I drop my rig off I have to expect it to be 2 weeks at least sitting before they get to it.

The guy did tell me though if I bought an extended warranty from them I'd get priority..

I can tell you that Holiday World RV in League City, TX flat out told me that they WOULD NOT service my RV because I didn't buy it from them. No joke.

Ancira RV did service my RV even though I bought it elsewhere. I had them do some body work (not warranty covered) and also some warranty work in our first year of ownership. The major warranty work was not something they could have handled (FWS removal, repair, replace) but that's another story.

Ancira did very nice work for me on the body work and minor warranty items. Of course, it took longer than expected, and I had to call them several times for updates. Unfortunately I don't think that can be avoided in the RV Industry, regardless of brand. These companies got us all by the "short hairs" and they know it.

My dealer just South South West of Kansas City on I-35 is excellent. You can make an appointment. They ask when you will require it back an all but one time met that date. The one time they did not I was called and explained that they had a parts delay. It was two days later getting back to me.
They are a full service dealership. They are associated with the local Ford/Lincoln dealership and have very well trained service tech. They also have a first rate paint and body shop. They feature Winnebago/Itasca and Coachman coaches.
They service any brand. You don't have to buy from them.
We have another very fine dealer on the Southeast side of KC on 71 HWY. He is also very good. He features Fleetwood and Newmar.
There are several others in and around KC but I have not had work done at their shops.
From what I have read we are very lucky.

Ancira strikes again.

On November 10th we took the RV back to Ancira because one of the water lines was leaking. Brian from the service department couldnt find the leak. So we went on our trip. Then the leak started while we were in New Orleans. Of course our "faithful" salesman could not return emails. Then had the nerve to finally call and give us a drop off date. Ummm not this time. We got the clearance from Fleetwood to take it to National Indoor to get it fixed. Which they did. What kills me is a note in our bill. National said they were guilty by association, pertaining to a draw slider in the bedroom that was installed incorrectly"Not Parallel" which ironically was on the "Original" list that Ancira said they fixed. So here is my new thought: "What you get with your purchase from Ancira RV in Alvarado, TX: Neglectful salesmen after the purchase and service reps that do incomplete repairs. Yet they are the factory authorized service center for Texas."

Geesh Tom.. it ure sounds like they treated you poorly! I have a retired buddy who sits and waits with his RV for minor work, and another buddy who owns his own business who can take a day here or there as needed too. I don't have that luxury so I end up in line with the masses for service.

Another RV buddy of mine is a major proponent of hiring mobile RV service technicians if you can find them. Some are even authorized to perform warranty service. And since they are traveling to your RV, they are motivated to complete the job as quickly as possible. I have not been able to find one near where I live but I haven't looked hard. Maybe you could find one in your neck of the woods?

Tom I have to tell you that BLUE MOON RV is the best mobile service tech group and they are an authorized repair center for Fleetwood, they are excellent, if you want to call them.

RODNEY is who I've spoken with be sure and tell them Kent Bless referred you. They are a great group of people there.

On the contrary, I've had nothing but excellent service from Ancira, good "after-sale" care from the sales staff and finance manager. This included an emergency windshield replacement prior to a trip up the east coast. Holiday World in Katy kept my first coach for almost 2 months for minor repairs. I've had 2 coaches from Ancira, and would recommend them to anyone. They are not a BMW dealer, and the fact I spent a ton of money with them does not entitle me to anything other than good service. I always talk with the service manager before I come in to gauge how busy they are. I set my expectations accordingly. Same way with Freightliner in Dallas. They are the same.

I guess you are lucky.

It has been nothing but a headache for us dealing with them. We also spent a ton of money with them. That Rv cost more than our house. I will not buy our next one from them. Remember that feeling you had with Holiday World. Triple it. That's how I feel about Ancira.

Tom--Might I inquire which Ancira you were dealing with? Was it the Boerne location or their other location??

Copy. They did my body work. I was pleased with their work, but have also heard good things about the technicians in their Boerne location. I think one of their guys used to work at the Fleetwood factory, but don't quote me on that! Perhaps you would have better luck there...
