Anyone know what this device is?

Hi Fellow Fleetwood Owners,

I am the owner of a "new to me" '02 Bounder 39R diesel pusher. I found this little white box with a button on it inside the drivers-side compartment that is above the driver's left shoulder. If I press the button it flashes the letters "bd" for a few seconds then goes off. Does anyone know what this device is for and if it is original equipment or something aftermarket that was installed by the previous owner?

I'd be very grateful for your help. Sorry, but the image is attaching itself sideways. The top of the box is at the top of the cabinet near the roofline.

Thanks,

BuddyBounder

Welcome to iRV2 .

The box is a display for angle of the roof mounted satellite unit ( that may have been changed out by a previous owner .

Flashing "BD"...I'd leave it off as it attracts "bad Drivers".

First post and attaching photos already ,

Took me three weeks to figure that out .

Reducing size to under 1000 pixels will help stop the rotating during posting.

As mentioned it is the angle indicator for a crank up satellite dish.

Thanks!

Thanks for your replies. I figured it was something like the satellite dish but hoped to get confirmation. Well, the nice thing about that little box is that it had 12v wiring going to it. So, it has now become the location of my new Pepwave Max router that is currently giving us the best Internet we have ever experienced on an RV.

Thank you for asking this question! I also have a 2002 39R Bounder with the same device, and didn't know what it was for. Mine has the 5.9L with about 130,000 so far, so there's been lots of lost manuals and modifications over the years. I also plan to hook my security camera /DVR / Internet WIFI hot spot to its power supply. This is our 5th rv, and second Fleetwood, we love it!
