Anything Specific to a Discovery that I need to look for

For every other brand/model I have investigated there is something like rotting windows or slides or ....

I am going to see a 2015 Fleetwood Discovery 40g on Wed with 20k miles. Is there anything specific to it that I need to be on the lookout for?

No issues and love it.

Yea through searching on here I have not seen a lot of common issues to the 40 series coaches. First time diesel and first time looking used ... Guess I am trying to cover all the bases.

I have specifics in the sales agreement that they will do the yearly freightliner maintenance and get it current (not sure it's not current but just in case)

20k miles is a lot for 1-2 years old. Get the service/maintenance records. Not done by the book? Walk away.

I could be wrong but methinks it's a little early to find any major issues on a 2015, 20k mile, Fleetwood Discovery 40g.

It was sold in 2014 (only 6 months later than mine)

Do you really feel like its a lot of miles?


...I have 18k on mine and other than a trip to Texas all my travel has been within Georgia or to Fla/Tn.

We have a 2014 Discovery 40X with approximately 47,000 on the odometer and no problems. We recently received a software upgrade to the ECM from Cummins. We have not taken it on the road since then but I did notice that after start up it takes much less time for the system to do its check and the check engine light to go out. Went from about 10 seconds to about 1 second for the computer to do all its checks and the check engine light to go out. We'll see how it performs on the road soon.
