Atwood Electrical leveling jacks

Help Please. My neighbor was retracting his jacks in the auto. mode. one in front, two in the rear. the front jack came up and the passenger jack came up, but the drivers jack extended to the max. raising the tire approx. 12 inches off the ground. finally the motorhome dropped to the ground on that side. The jack on that side, afterwards could be raised up by hand, but would not stay up. Right now the jack is tied up to the chassis frame. He is in a park at Lytle Creek, CA

What would cause this ? What needs to be done for repairs ?
Fleetwood Providence, 2007 year model, Freightliner chassis.
Atwood electrical leveling jacks ( not hydraulic jacks )

P.S. A lot of dishes, etc. broke when motorhome dropped to ground. but that's another story.

I'm not familiar with Atwood . On Power Gear Elec Jacks that would Indicate the sensor ( pg uses a magnet ) failed and the shear pin broke ( as intended to prevent further damage ) which is why it fell and won't stay up.
Hope this helps.

FW went to PG in 07 but your friend could have an early one. They used Atwood prior to PG. if it says Atwood I wood think that's what they have. Here's what mine looks like.

Here's a link to a bunch of previous threads re: Atwood. Possibly there's something in there that would assist.
