Audio on back up camera

We have a mobile vision back up camera on our 2012 bounder 35k. We were told there is audio on this, so the person outside near the camera can talk to the person driving. Does anyone know how that operates? We have no written material on this, and I cannot seem to find any info on the internet. Fleetwood does not list mobile vision on their list of vendors for info either.

And I apologize, but I have no idea how to determine what model this is. Let me know if I should take a picture of the dash, if that would help.

Thanks for any assistance!

Is there a volume control on your monitor. Mine is older being a 2000 but the camera allows the driver to hear what is happening at the rear of the coach. It is not two way communication.

No, I do not see a volume control. if I go back there and holler, should he be able to hear me without pushing any special buttons? We tried that once, and He could not hear me.

Adjacent to the monitor there are two switches (on mine, anyway). One switch selects the camera, the other is a volume control. On mine, only the rear camera has audio. HOWEVER, it fails as a communication device; the roar of the engine is louder than my spotter back there. We use walkie-talkies, instead.

Sorry, mine is a stock camera in my rig and has the volume control. Maybe you should post a picture. Is it stock to your rig?

I have a brand new Weldex brand back up camera system installed two weeks ago... the last one lost its horizontal hold. On the new one, the volume only works when the RV is in reverse. Otherwise, no matter what the volume is set at, it is muted. See if it works in reverse...

Highly recommend walkie-talkies...as mentioned, the engine roar will drown out whatever is said.

That is a good suggestion. Solves the entire problem.

No problem with a gasser. I can hear a whisper at the back.

RV Headsets - RV Headsets for Mobile Vehicle Safety We use these headsets. Hands free operation and always on 2-way communication, like a phone.

Check this manual to see if it's the same as yours... http://dealers.magnadyne.com/MagPubl...20Rev.%20A.pdf

Look on page 3 for volume control instructions.

If that is not the correct model, I believe the little up and down arrows on the "left" and "right" buttons are for volume control on the MobileVision monitor.

Thanks, this really helped. I went to the magna dyne website and found my model, and instructions. You were right, the left and right buttons are for volume. How much simpler life would be if they simply said volume...😜

You're welcome. I think you will find that the volume is more than adequate on these. We were astonished at how well that microphone pics up sounds behind the moho.
