Aux emergency switch not functioning

Dealing with a parasite drain, will address in another thread...That said.....main is dead, and we try to use the house batteries AUX switch start, no click nothing on the solenoid..I understand the solenoid should be audible when the switch is pressed, so first though would be the solenoid is not working...I did find a burnt fuse inside the engine bay compartment for the Aux start also and replaced, but my question(s) are this...

Is there a second fuse somewhere?

When we turn on the Aux battery switch above the door, You can hear the solenoid click...Can I assume this is different and/or separate from my issue when trying to start with AUX power?

On some coaches the power for the " Boost switch " comes from the Main ( chassis ) battery , so if the main battery is dead the switch won't activate the solenoid.

The switch over the door is a battery disconnect switch, different then the boost switch.

Skip426, gave good advice.. boost is for only part dead chassis batt.. fully dead needs to be fully recharged with high quality batt charger or you can burn alt out. also remove the wires to chassis and coach batts and take picts with cell phone aux start and coach and chassis disconnects. I had to pull and clean all these connections on mine. they were so dirty it was stopping the power from going thru.. now they work fine.. use very good brushes, air tools help speed process and be warned, take picts and take wires off all batts and take picts of that and one thing at a time... it took me weeks and then re spray batt sealer back on all connections .. that is what the red paint is that is on them now if you have any left.. good luck let us know how you do.. and hit store 1st get all new ss nuts and washers for all connections that will help too

You will find also, the solenoid will not click unless the ignition is turned on.

I do understand that the ignition needs to be engaged and switch pressed for it to function.

I will clean the connections anyways however they do not appear to be bad, and most likely, I will check and replace the Solenoid.

The battery is brand new as of late last year.

I was just curious if the solenoid was the same as the disconnect of above the door...

I will respond back once I’ve gone through it...

Thanks for the replies..
