Aux trailer power

I have a 07 Fleetwood Southwind 34G on a Ford F53 chassis. I pull a 16ft enclosed trailer with it. I noticed that I had no Aux power to the trailer when plugged into the motorhome, so I dug into the connector. The connector needed replaced anyway. There is no wire with 12v power wired to the Aux port. That kind of surprises me. I guess my question is did Ford supply a wire but its not hooked to the plug? Or is that something I have to run? If so how did everyone do this? I was thinking of checking the pigtail that the harness plugs into for constant 12v power. But just was curious if its supplied by Ford? Anyone know for sure? Thanks Lee

It sounds like some motorhomes do not include the wiring for the 12 volt? There were a couple of recent threads on this topic I believe, I found this one. Maybe it helps you get started.

A lot of the gas coaches do not have a constant 12v supply at the trailer connection. I had to run a 10ga wire from the front fuse panel to the rear connection on our '06 Itasca.
