The ice maker will not work without 110 power. I would think if its not plugged in or gen running, it is not making ice therefore the 12 volt portion of the ice maker is not causing your drain.

OOps! Sorry! Didn't see until just now that you have a residential fridge.

Main batteries are the Truck part of your motor home. Engine, Head/Tail/Marker lights, Dash A/C and radio, Windshield wipers.

AUX are the house batteries.. Lights, Water pump, Furnace, Control power to many things. Possibly dash radio if main/aux switch.,

Driving most modern motor homes charge both from engine alternator
Parked and plugged in many (Note change of word) charge both from converter.

There are no six volt batteries in RVs but there may be when you take them out

You take two six volt GC-2 Golf Car bateries (DEEP CYCLE) set them end to end, attach a jumper from the Positive post on one to the NEgative on the other and you have.... A 12 volt battery, 220 amp hours give or take 10.. Roughly a 4D (That is the way they are when in a motor home)

So when it comes to six volt v/s 12 volt questions.

Each mated pair of sixes *IS* a 12 volt, think of them that way and watch quesions vanish.

Chassis (main) batteries are usually 12 volt to start with.

Storage is the only time you should turn the battery switches off. And then only if you are operating the fridge or other appliances that need 12v power.

I don't. I never touch the cut off switches. Too many problems with switches and solenoids.
When I store my coach all the batteries come out and go home with me where I can charge them and keep an eye on them. My storage period is from early October to early or mid May. Others may vary. It's also a requirement to at the least disconnect batteries where I store my coach. I may as well bring them home where I can keep them charged and ready to go.
