Batteries not holding a charge

Hello all, I have a 2018 Fleetwood Southwind only 1 month old. I parked it and engaged the coach and engine battery disconnects and in less than a week the house bateries were drained. The engine battery was good enough to start the coach and get it charged enough to start the generator. My question is what should I expect from the OEM batteries? I had a 2014 Forest River Sunseeker that I put Lifeline AGM batteries in and it made a huge difference. The dealer told me I couldnt put AGM in becasue the charger isnt compatible. Any suggestions?

Do you have an inverter in it ?

Many of them don't run thru the disconnect and need to be shut off at there control panel.

I do have an inverter. I am not sure if I turned it off separately I dont think I did becasue I thought a disconnect disconnects everything.

If your coach is only a month old, is there a chance your batteries were not charged up to start with? Has it been plugged in for a while before you stored it? Is it possible it might be to cold for the batteries to work or charge correctly?

Get it fully charged again then disconnect the ground cable from the battery. Check the voltage in a week and see what is happening.

It is normal for all storage batteries to slowly lose charge. Flooded lead acid is one of the quicker ones. That said they should make more than a week. You will need to monitor the time to get a sense of how long yours last when fully disconnected.

It takes hours for the chemistry to fully change when doing a recharge. See if you can arrange to plug it in overnight as needed once you figure out how long the batteries last between charges. Your best bet is the charge around the 50% point to maximize life.

OK it is a MAgnum MS2000 INverter/charger. It is a good thing I buy my new Rv's in the winter months becasue it takes months to understand how they work. After printing the 80 page manual and reading it 7 or 8 times I understand how it works now. During the walk thru the dealer just said "Thats your inverter it runs some of the receptacles and fridge" Even with the disconnects engaged there must stil be some parasitic draw draining the batteries.
