Battery power

Ok, I would like to know why I can't use the TV and Satellite on battery power? I have to use the generator when not connected to AC power. So what's the benefit of solar power?

Confused: Tom

Do you have a inverter ? As for solar panel most don't give off enough to run anything just charging batteries slow.

It would help if you displayed the year, make and model of your rig in your signature line so others will know what RV we're discussing here.

Do you have an inverter... and if so... is your television system plugged in to an outlet powered by the inverter? Typically, I believe the TV is on a circuit powered by the inverter and it should work.

As for solar, if you have only the factory mounted 10w panel on top of the coach it won't really provide you much help.

Best of luck.

I would be surprized if your 07 Providence did not have an inverter. Look in your bays?
If you have one and it is turned on, see which outlets have 110v power when you are not on shore power.

I discovered what the problem was. I had a surge protector put on my coach, and they failed to turn my converter back on.
