My 1999 Vision has had an on going problem with shearing the roll pin on the dive gear part of the gear rack. The roll pin is only a small 1/16 pin. If you open or close the slide to tight on its end stroke the pin shears. I have tried aligning the slide, lubricating everything. So my final fix is to install limit switches to stop the motor end of each stroke. The problem now is running 4 wires from the key switch to the rack. There doesn't seem to be anyway to go down the wall and under the floor with a snake. Any Ideas?

Can you run it under, along the chassis? Then up to where you need them.

Put a length of ABS tubing along there to slide the wires in. Tie it up with nylon zip ties.

Can't drill it out to a larger dia?

My first thought. But then I thought there must be hundreds around with the same 1/16th shear pin that are working.

What is supposed to signal the motor to stop? Is it like power steps that sense an increase in amperage and cut the power?

Wondering.

There is no system to stop the motor if you go to far. Maybe newer models. Even my 2011 fleetwood camper did not have a safety stop.

The wires have to come up from under the floor. But the way the walls are made you can't get past the bottom on a right angle. Plus drilling down by the slide rack is risky because I don't know what is underneath. There are tanks , wires, pipes there hidden between the floor and bottom of chassis.
