Bed Size in 2003 Fleetwood Bounder

I was wondering if anyone else has a 2003 Bounder? If so, could you possibly tell me the size of the bed? We are in the process of buying one, and I specifically asked our sales rep (who is NOT the best rep!) what size it was. I thought it was a regular queen size, but he said it was a short queen. So, I have purchased a short queen mattress, and mattress cover already. We won't be getting the RV for about two more weeks. While looking at the "blue print" type diagrams for the Bounder online, it shows the bed to be a true queen sized bed. VERY frustrated at this point, since it's something I asked about, so that I could start buying things we needed.
Also wanting to replace the couch. But, we are afraid to buy anything else at this point! LOL!

Welcome to irv2.
Here's a manual for your 03 in case you don't have it.

http://fleetwoodrv.com/partsandservi...OUNDER_GAS.pdf

It's generic but useful.

My 08 queen took queen sheets . Hopefully another member can be more precise.

Cliff

Thank you Cliff!!
We did print an owner's manual from the internet. My husband looked for the information in it, and didn't find the bed size.
I was pretty sure that Bounder owners were going to tell me what you did. That their bed is a true queen.

How close are you to it? Can you go to the dealer & measure? That's what I'd do.

Hi there Lori,

We are about an hour away. We will most likely end up going over to see if we can take some measurements. I just thought I would try the message board first, to see if I could get the answer. Dealing with the dealership has been a PITA!!! And, now I am going to have to pay around $45.00 to ship the mattress & mattress pad back, because our sales rep told me the wrong information.

AH WELL! What can you do?? It will all get worked out in the end!
Thanks for your reply!

Bed Size in 2003 Fleetwood Bounder

What was the dimensions of the mattress you purchased ? I believe you need a 60 x 80. Not 100% sure .

FYI: A residential queen is 60x80. A residential king is 76x80. A residential California King is 72x84.

What I have seen (in my limited travels) is that a RV queen is 60x80. A RV king is often 72x80. And, I have heard of "short" mattresses as well. Some shorts were 75". Some were 72".

If it were me, I would drive and measure the actual bed. It sounds like you have already decided to do that. Smart decision.

Best of luck on the new rig!

Good Morning everyone!

Cliff - The short queen mattress (that I purchased) measures 60" X 75".
Everything I've seen, or read, shows the bed size in the RV we bought as 60" X 80". (Our sales rep is the only one who has said that the bed is a short queen.)

CWK - You are right! I think we are definitely going to have to make a trip over there to actually measure it ourselves.

Thank you for your replies! I really appreciate it!!!

Our 03 Pace Arrow is a full queen, the same size as in our house. We also had a 1986 Pace Arrow, it had a full size queen. Good Luck.......
