Bedroom Slide not powered

Our 2017 Fleetwood Discover 40E bedroom slide has no power. It is in the out position But when we tried yesterday to put it in, the switch did not respond. We found the motor under the bed. But we cannot find a fuse for it. All the other slides work. Any ideas?

Do you have the fold-up bed, if so, there is a switch that has to be closed by having the bed all the way up, before the slide switch will work. That keeps you from retracting the slide while the bed is extended.
Lower the bed some and retract it all the way up.

Think we have addressed that! Been putting bed up and down. No luck. Wish it were a simple solution!

I have a friend who has the fold up bed that has to be up to pull the slide in. The micro switch that stays open when the bed is down and keeps the slide from operating failed. He ended up finding the switch and putting a jumper to bypass it. Yes, the slide could come in with the bed down, but he said he was always careful. Don't know if he fixed it yet but it got his slide in when he needed it too.

On our 08 Discovery, it has a Power Gear electric system...the relays fuses are located in the driver side utility compartment aft of the driver side, slide out. Look in the utility compartments located high up... you can manually crank in the slide out by releasing the motor brake, and using a ratchet and socket. see Power Gear manual link. Also our coach must be in neutral brakes set, engine running for it to work.
Good Luck

Update on bedroom slide:Tilt-Bed limit switch (Hall Effect)

Problem was that the Hall Effect Switch associated with the Tilt-bed mechanism wasn't being activated because the bed wasn't being sufficiently tilted due to worn gears & tracks that prevented the necessary close association between magnet and switch.
Until I can replace the Tilt-bed mechanism I've simply taped mag & switch together and will be very careful when operating (the now working!) bedroom slide.

Thanks to all for the helpful advice!
Gene

Great job diagnosis your issue. You have a bed that tilts up and down via a 12 volt motor? Too much. Ours has 2 gas pistons, easy to move the bed up and down under human power. Less things to go wrong!

Not sure if you fixed the problem yet but Iíll offer some advice that might be helpful. I too couldnít bring in my living room slide so I checked the fuse in the outside electrical fuse compartment just below the driverís side forward front tires and the fuse wasnít blown but the contacts had some build up on them so I took a piece of sandpaper and cleaned them and the slide closed like it should. I was so elated that thatís all it was.

A few months later it happened again and I knew just exactly what to do. This time I replaced the fuse with a new one and havenít had anymore issues with that slide again. Hope this offers some help for you now and perhaps in the future.
