Your slide switch only powers a relay. Is it an electric or hydraulic slide? If electric, it would take a mighty bid switch to handle the power to run the slide. If its hydraulic, the switch runs 2 things. The relay that runs the pump motor, and the solenoid that operates the hydraulic valve.
Since you say you have no power at the motor. I'm going to assume it is electric. Get your owners manual out, go to the wiring diagrams and figure out where the relay is. Also check the fuses. Each slide motor may have a separate one.
When trouble shooting I start with the easiest first. Check fuses. Since you don't know where the relay is yet, but do the motor, take an extra battery or get close enough to it with jumper cables, jump the motor. Motor no run? That's the problem.
Next it's time to find the relay. Check power coming in. On wire should be hot all the time or with the ignition/acc on. Power coming in, have someone push the slide switch. There may be as many as 5 wires at the relay. One hot all the time. The other 4 probably work in pairs. Out and retract..
No power to the relay, you have a wiring problem before the relay. Start tracing back.
