Best route to factory service center

Does anyone have a clue as the best route to take to the factory service center in Decatur Indiana coming from a 60 miles east of Chicago? Looks like I can take 90 all the way but it takes me a ways north just to head south. Route 30 seems like a direct route but I think it may go through a lot of small towns and actually take longer. Someone also suggested 65 but Im not sure on that either. Just don't go east from here very often. Any help would be appreciated as were leaving in a bit and traveling tonight as I have an appointment in the morning.

Best route to factory service center

I live near Indy and the best way for you is to take 90 which turns into 80 then take 69 South to 469 east to 27 that will take you straight into Decatur.

I can not improve on the above reply but I will say this:

Any route that does NOT involve overnighting at "The Happy Hooker Towing And Recovery" lot.. or equivalent thereof.

(that company happens to be located in Las Vegas but the Equivalent, is all over,, In my case it was Randy's in Metter GA)

Your shortest route will be rt 30 it is good road mostly four lane it does go thru a few towns but not bad traveling then take sixty nine south to four sixty nine east to twenty seven south into Decatur. One caution four sixty nine is rough in spots but your only on it for maybe six or eight miles. Nice little drive five or six hours if your taking it easy.

Thanks folks! I ended up taking 30. Inadvertantly I might ad. Following my navigation proved to be a real pain. I avoided the skyway through indiana so as not to pay the huge tolls and ended up on 94 instead of 90. I think I ended up taking 65 down to 30 which really wasn't bad. The speed limit was 60 most of the way and it did go through a few towns but the lights seemed to be timed perfectly and I rarely was stopped by them. Boing home was much better as it was light out and I could see were I was going.
