bought this old 89 jamboree, trying to get it working after being let to sit

Hey folks I got this 89 tioga jamboree. the previous owner told me it had been sitting for about 2 years and just driven around the block once or twice since then. I drove it from downey to venice, and then venice to reseda on side roads. Im trying to get it to pass smog in cali, which means a little bit of a headache.

could i get a link to the 89 jamboree haynes/repair manual if anyones got it?
what should I change automatically?

I did an oil change on it the other day and now there is a rattling sound coming from the engine that wasnt there before. its kinda low on oil cause the 6 quarts i put in there wasnt enough and it burned a decent amount off letting it idle for 20 minutes. it smoked up the entire block and was totally killing my lungs.. (i thought the key was stuck in the ignition) i figure maybe adding 2 more quarts of oil might solve that, and driving it just a little to circulate the oil around but i dont wanna kill my new old rv.

the previous owner said his friend told him to do the valve seals. there is a lot of smoke coming out of the tailpipe, but less than when i was burning off all the old funky gas. is it maybe the piston rings? ive never done a compression test but my research tells me to try this. good idea? any tips? amateur mechanic but i have done a clutch on a fwd car before so im pretty handy.

heres a video of the rattling and the smoking. im assuming its funky valve seals and low oil

I don’t know if you have found what you are looking for or not.
I would go to the vintage section of this forum.
Someone will probably be able to help you out.

Imho 1st thing you need to understand is you have a Ford light duty van with rv on top.. this is the chassis... so when you look for repair book.. look for Ford 1989 e150 to e350.. also Ford used very same eng and trans form light duty pickups.. so that old you may have to go online to find book.. Haynes and Chilton pickup repair books will get you 90% there..
Now you want to look at rv.. the coach.. find the model and serial number of each appliances.. refrigerator, stove, furnace, and water heater.., roof air, and generator if has one.. go to appliances section and great members have taken their time to post all sorts of manuals be ready to download them..
Next hit section for maker of coach.. start at last page and read forward.. older coaches are in the back..

So in Haynes and Chilton you will find how to.. maintenance.. compression test.. wiring and troubleshooting.. critters love to eat on rubber fuel lines and short wiring and nest in worst places.. so when things go haywire and don't make sense then keep critters in the back of your mind all the time..
Good luck and keep us posted
