Bounder: Bounder and Bounder Classic

Looking at the Bounder and Classic, and can't see the differences, except the Classis has 19 inch tires and the Bounder has 22 inch tires. What is the real differences to make the Classic cheaper?

There are many differences .
Chassis is the biggest and most important IMO.
Most of the tanks are different as well as the WH .The materials seem plusher as well as the plumbing hardware and sinks.

What is the current price difference ?

Looking at Fleetwood RV it appears about 15K difference in MSRP, had to tell with the dealers due to different discounts.

That sounds like less than10%. I'd sharpen my negotiating skills ( ) and close that gap as much as I could and get the Bounder.

Yes I would like the Bounder, but they only have a bunk model in the classic

The Classic is, basically, a rebranded Storm or Flair. Those were FW's lowest end gassers. It would come with a smaller gallon HWH, smaller fridge, no inverter, no whole-house filter, Halogen lighting...etc. Check the Features lists on the website & you'll easily see the differences.

I agree with Lori, go with the Bounder. I researched the Bounder Classic and Bounder. For a little bit more $$ you get many more amenities with the Bounder.

We have the 35K and are happy with it. The 19.5 inch tires are cheaper to replace. We just had to replace a 22.5 on our coach. I guess I hit a curb damaged the side wall. 500 plus dollars.

Unfortunately, if the OP wants a bunk model, he'll have to go w/the Classic (or SOB). The big-boy Bounder currently doesn't have a bunk floorplan.

We like our 2012 classic 34b. No inverter but that can be added for a couple hundred $. Generator is the same with auto transfer switch. Our grey and black tanks are a little small 40/30. We don't notice all that much. The water heater is smaller and ours runs only on propane. Would be nice to have electric/propane combo. We haven't replaced tires but I will like the lower price when we do. I don't notice that much of a difference in ride. I believe our chassis (22k) with 228" wheel base came in two models. One has the 19.5 tires and the other 22.5. I believe the 19.5 version has a different final gear. Our tachometer seems to spin a little higher at cruising speed than others with the 22.5. Perhaps this hits your mpg a little. We average 6.5 to 7.5 while towing a jeep.
Overall, we like the classic but some of the interior finish is inferior.

We too wanted to stick with a bunkhouse, so we picked up a 2014 Classic 34B. There was a Bounder parked on the lot right next to it, and yes, some of the interior features in the Bounder are a bit nicer. That said, we have 22.5 wheels, and a king sized bed in the 'master'. For us it was less about saving a few dollars (although we did get a pretty good deal) and more about getting the floorpan we really wanted. We've been very happy with our Classic so far.

The layout that fits your needs is much more important than a few upgrades here and there.

I am unclear on the wheels, does the classic come with 22.5 tires as an option? I do not see that listed on the info from Fleetwood.
