Bounder Classic 34B
I've got some friends in the market for a motorhome. They had been shopping used but saw a 2011 Bounder Classic 34b the other day. I'm a Winnebago guy so I couldn't answer too many of their questions.
I'm familiar with the Storm/Encounter and some the new features there, but can easily see it's an entry level coach. (Hate the term, but everyone knows what that is.) Fleetwood used to have bunk models in the Terra and Fiesta lines. Are there features on a a Bounder Classic that weren't on the Fiesta or Terra? Or perhaps the Bounder Classic kind of overlapped those so it's kind of just a name change? I do see where Fleetwood has dropped some names and realigned things a bit, maybe this is part of that?
I think I just need to compare it head to head with a current Sightseer 35J, which I know more about. I imagine I'll find them quite comparable?
Thanks,

tderonne,
I'm sure they have looked on the obvious sites.
Here's the one I would look at:

Fleetwood is still making all but the Pace Arrow.
Storm starting out at $82,000.00
Terra starting out at $99,000.00
Bounder classic starting at $102,000.00
Bounder starting out at $125,000.00
Southwind starting at $128,000.00
There just using the Bounders name since it is one of the most sold motorhome names out there. There's a lot of different between the Bounder and Bounder Classic.

IMO, the Bounder Classic more matches a Winnebago Vista. The BC is a stripped down version of the Bounder. I feel FW is using the Bounder name as a draw to sell the BC & with the 34B bunk model, they're particularly targeting families wanting to get into a coach at a closer to $100,000 price point.

$3,000 seems to me, to be a Fleetwood way to say buy Southwind so we can finally get rid of the regular Bounder. I believe sales will drop especially with only 2 models, a little less fancy, and a tiny retail price difference. Why not buy the better Southwind for just about the same price?
The Terra and Bounder Classic have a $2000 sticker price difference but are quite different models.

When we bought our motorhome we looked at the Southwind and Bounder. After several hours of looking we went with the Bounder because of the floor plan. I did not see any difference between the two, so what is the difference? I will say our Bounder as several up grades maybe that's the reason I didn't see the difference.

Camping4fun,
How do you like your rear/side view camera system.
Enjoy your handsome Bounder!
