Bypass Valve Replacement - 2002 Southwind

Hi Everybody,

I have a 2002 Fleetwood Southwind 35R with a fresh water leak in the wet bay.

I'm pretty sure the problem is the bypass valve, since we replaced the pump less than a year ago. Has anyone else had a similar problem? How did you resolve it?

And does anyone know the part number or where I can purchase a new bypass valve?

Thank you!
Stef

I'm guessing you mean the city water fill valve, which "bypasses" the pump to allow water to enter the fresh tank. It's just a standard plumbing fitting, though a couple different types are employed depending on how the system is designed. Probably easiest to remove it and take to a good plumbing supply house to match up. Or a large hardware store. A Lowes or Home Dept might have it too, but good luck on getting expert assistance there.

You may be able to order an identical one from Fleetwood - they haven't changed their plumbing designs much in decades.

Many city bypass valves are simple shut-offs but some are diverter-types that shunt the water in one of two directions.
