Carefree of Colorado Power Pack

I have a 2000 American Eagle with Carefree of Colorado awning. The awning has the power pack option. Trying to replace the gas struts in the power pack. Carefree says "obsolete" no help. Sent emails to several large Carefree dealers also no help. I am thinking about taking the gas strut out and trying to find an alternative source. Before I do that was hoping someone here has already tracked down an alternative.

Any help would be appreciated,

Thanks

Are there any mfg. names or number on them? There basically a "gas spring" and Google may help you find replacement.

Or you maybe can measure extended length and Google it...

I replaced my 1999 Eagle manual awning arms with electric, not a bad job if you're interested.

I'm interested and own a 1997 with the same awning.

Thank in advance for the information!

Mack thanks for the info and I will consider that path. For the 20 years I have owned this coach I have been pretty happy with the manual option. Maybe forced down the electric route at some point.

I have tried to cross reference the numbers found on the gas strut at several websites with no luck.

Will continue to hope someone here has replaced the gas struct and can provide their source as Carefree no longer has that info.
