charging problems/inverter???

1995 american eagle coach. the fan broke on my inverter and they told me to just replace the fan that the inverters don't go bad. since then the coach batteries are not charging. Help!!! I don't know what to do next.

Welcome to irv2.
The inverter may not go bad but may have protection in over heating with the fan not working.
I would pull inverter after marking all wires with tags as to where they connect than replace fan or have someone else do it for you.
You may have a mobil RV Repair man that you could contact to do the job.

I'm here to testify that inverters DO fail - my Xantrex RV2500 died 2 years ago at the tender age of only 4.

Yes, it will shut down if it overheats, though mine shows an error code on the remote display if that happens, and also a colored warning light on the face of the inverter itself. What model of inverter do you have?
