Chassis blower motor only works on high

1992 Fleetwood Pace Acrrow on Chevy P30 frame

Thanks to all for your valuable help. I’ve been working through many problems and this site has been invaluable.

I’ve got two issues left to solve:

1. The chassis blower motor only works on high. Any other position of the switch in the blower will not work at all

2. Where is the low pressure port on the air-conditioner to re-charge it

I would think its either the resistor for the blower or the fan switch itself.

My 93' AC low side port is on a line pretty close to the upper left hand side of the engine compartment, next to the heater core and something/some box for the cruise control. Almost on the other side of the radiator overflow. Same chassis but different make.

Has 2 wires coming out of it.

Thank you for both Reply’s. I realized quickly that it’s a R12 system. Now I have to figure out how to convert it from R12 to R134a. I think more parts are in my future

I worked in the parts room at a Chevy dealership back in the 70s. Then, they had a blower relay, that when not working it would do exactly as you describe. IIRC, when the high speed is selected it gets straight power. When any other speed is selected, it goes though the relay and is regulated down to the desired speed. This may not be relevant in your case, but I thought I would throw it out there.

All problems solved or answered. Connector on resistor was corroded. Replaced with individual lugs.

I did find the low side but realized it was a R12 system.

New thread following the latter

Thank you

Ken
