Closet floor

I saw on a post that someone cut the closet floor in order to gain access to the front of the engine. That sounds like a good idea to me if there is not some damage it could cause that I'm not aware of. If it worked out okay it would be great knowing you could change the belt, water pump and belt tensioner without having to pull the radiator. Does anyone out there have some info you could share on this ?

My 2006 Expedition has 4 large screws to remove the closet floor. I lift the floor to clean the CAC from the front once a year and to change the 2 micron fuel filter.

That is correct. To get to the 2 micron fuel filter there is another floor section that extends under our bed that has 4 large screws also. I raise the bed and have a prop to keep it up. An el shaped side of the bed frame lifts up to expose all the floor. Your floor plan may or may not have this configuration.
