Coach Batteries overcharging

Hi All
Just got back from our first trip out camping for a week at campground. While plugged into shore power after one day my two coach batteries were hissing and they were warm to the touch. (Have three batteries in RV - two coach & one RV Starter battery)
I put a volt meter to the two coach Batteries and both were reading 13.3 & hissing I disconnected added water and reconnected and after another day both were warm and hissing again. Also when it came time to leave my RV Starter Battery was dead and had to get a jump start. RV is at home now and two Coach Batteries (Walmart Maxx Marine Deep Cycle Marine Batteries) are reading 10.45 on each and RV starter Battery is at 12.58 Should I replace tow coach batteries or have the the Progressive
Dynamics Power Converter in the RV check out ?

Have whatever charges your batteries while connected to shore power "checked out".
BTW your on board charger may not be charging your chassis (aka: starter), battery....(mine does not... and never did).

13.3-13.5 is normal charging voltage, so I think your PD is fine. And your chassis battery is still almost fully charged at 12.58 (12.6 is 100%), so that should be OK too. If your coach engine won't start, it's not the battery.

Sounds like your house batteries are goners, though. Maybe only one of them, but replace both so one doesn't harm the new one. Marine deep cycles only have a 2-3 year life - they aren't really suitable for deep discharges and long storage periods. Basically just a gussied up starter battery.

Not so!
I am currently on my 3rd set of 4 Marine deep cycle house batteries.
My original set lasted 9+ years..as did the second set.
