Coleman Mach 15 Heat Pump

Anyone ever had this problem?

My rear heat pump (Coleman Mach 15 48000 series) air conditioning won't kick on. The unit is controlled through the coach control panel (Precision Plex control system, no secondary thermostat box). The rear room temperature as measured by the system is displayed as "COLD" instead of the usual numerical temperature. I assume that some failure of the thermostat system (wiring, sensor, control board) is indicated, and that is the reason the system won't turn on the A/C compressor. If I kick on the heat, it seems to work just fine so I know the roof unit is getting power.

Any thoughts?

My rear heat pump was acting fishy too, years ago. I found the wire to the temperature sensor was pinched by its housing. It's housing is a 1 inch hemisphere of white plastic with slots cut into it. It is screwed to the far aft bulkhead of my rig near the wardrobe door about belly high. Another is screwed to the forward cabinet under the tv for the forward zone. I unscrewed it from the bulkhead, relived the pinch, and carefully screwed it back on. Seems to work well now.

Thanks! I previously checked the sensor by pulling it out of the wall to make sure its electrical connections were still secure. No signs of pinching or wire chaffing.

Turned out to be an issue with the sensor connection to Precision Plex coach control panel. Took a lot of prodding to get the Camping World tech to quit saying he was stumped and just call Fleetwood.
