Bounder: Connecting SiriusXM radio

I have a 2016 Bounder, model 35K Anniversary Model that I am currently trying to get a subscription for SiriusXM radio. The radio unit in my RV is a Jensen VX 4022. I did not receive an Owner's Manual for it when I bought the RV.
The radio works fine, but when I switch to SiriusXMF mode I can't hear anything or get anything to work. I can't even go to Channel 1 to get the necessary ID number to start the subscription. I found the Owner's manual on line and it states you may have to install "SiriusXM Connect Vehicle Tuner and antenna". Then you should be able to hear the Preview Channel.

I guess my question is do I have to purchase a Vehicle Tuner and antenna or am I missing something here.

I can't believe that Fleetwood would install a satellite capable radio and then require after market purchases and installations.

Any help is appreciated.

Most of the time they are "Satellite ready" which essentially means they are ready to get hooked up. What you need is this:

Google the model number and you will be able see if it has a turner built in. also manuals are available online also.

That's weird. I have the same Bounder as you and my radio was ready for SiriusXM however the Antenna was tangled up behind the front cap

The SiriusXM tuner was an option. We ordered it but it arrived non-functional because the antenna was tied up in the wire bundle in the cap (like Ajayabb). A replacement antenna was installed laying on the dash. Eventually I install another antenna in the cap behind the Forward TV routing the wire down the right windshield post to the tuner under the dash.

So if your 2016 SE had the SiriusXM Tuner option, then the antenna is bad.

But just because a radio says it is SiriusXM ready, does not mean it has a tuner, only that it can display the tuner information. Order the tuner like in Manderson2228 post.

Manual says your radio is XM ready. If Fleetwood did not add the tuner, you can.
