Considering a 2011 American Tradition
Whats the good the bad and the ugly of a 2011 American Tradition? Leaving Tiffin due to quality and structual issues.

2011 Bus
Sagging floor under water tank
Slide problem
LOW Air warning light...can't find fix
DEF coolant hoses reversed
Bay door problems on multiple doors
And those are the big issues. Had it five months and have made five service visits. Last one to Red Bay and still problems.
I'm done

As it happens, I've been corresponding with a fellow from TX that is taking VIP deliverty of his new Tradition this week. So far few and generally minor issues. If you'll PM me with your email address I'll pass it on to him. He'd probably be happy to answer any questions you may have.
We took delivery of a 2011 Revolution last fall. We had a lot of quality control issues pop up immediately after taking delivery, a couple I considered serious. A spring trip to Decatur (the home of Fleetwood / American Coach) took care of most of it. They also made a trip to me to take care of something not noticed until we got it home from that trip and cleaned up some things left undone while in Decatur. I now have a slowly growing list of mostly minor items I hope to have addressed in October, also in Decatur.
Sadly, it seems most any make / model can suffer from quality control issues. The engineers can design a great product, but the production crew...
I'm not aware of any peeling roofs, sagging bay floors or cracked tiles in any American product. We went with American Coach as I believe they put a very solid foundation under the 'house', and there are a lot of nice extra touches vs the competition. . The Tradition kicks that up several notches.

You might want to check some of my posts on here and go on over to the Tiffin rv network and check out my posts there ... you'll see how I feel about it. I still think we did the right thing and I do think it's a better product. I had one "blowout" on here, while very hot and frustrated where I said I regretted my decision and it was taken out of context over there. I think that upon investigation you will see considerable differences in construction and design ... Jay, will you consider sending him your photographic comparison or do you mind if I do?

Picked up our "new again" new AC on Friday. I think the best thing to do is just post the email I just sent to the folks at Fleetwood / American Coach?
"Now THIS is the Coach we bought! Gentlemen, thank you so much for the way you have dealt with us over this past 10 days or so and the very Professional manner in which you tended to this Coach, and to us. Josh could not have done a better job if he tried; he is a very polite, interested, and patient young man who represents your Company well. I appreciate you accommodating us with the pick-up and delivery of our unit and your understanding of our timetable and requirements. Updating me on virtually a daily basis, with the various team members present, was such a great extra value; I have already began singing your praises to other Coach Owners. After all is said and done, anyone who buys one of these “rolling homes” and doesn’t expect problems is just fooling themselves? It is the manner in which we are treated, as Customers and Investors, that truly makes the difference. You made me feel so much more confident and trusting this time around and I had little doubt that our unit would be returned in any condition other than the way it actually was. It was spotlessly clean inside and out, except for some road dirt, (Josh offered to wash the coach!) and every item of concern had been addressed, and then some; then I drove it “home” and what a difference!? I can’t speak for our Dealer, but I will be surprised if he is not quite relieved, and impressed, by your conduct and your treatment of Yolanda and myself; I will be sure to inform him of our opinion(s). I’m sure you endure many Customers like me, and I doubt that it is always a pleasant experience for you, but I want to be just as quick to compliment as I am to criticize …. Outstanding job Guys, outstanding. I hope to get back to Decatur and when I do I will make it a point to find each of you and shake your hands personally …. Thanks again and regards, "

Good letter...many of us are quick to complain and slow to compliment. My dealings with AC are very much like yours. They are very courteous, friendly, and competent, and on occasion, have gone above and beyond what is normally expected.
