Considering purchase of 2009 Fleetwood Excursion 40T or Fleetwood Storm 35SK

If you had your choice between a used 40' 2009 Fleetwood Excursion Diesel for~$109,000 or a new 2016 Fleetwood Storm 35SK Gas for~$89,000 which would you choose and why? What concerns should we have about the used 2009 (looks to have been well maintained)? And what concerns would you have about the new Gas engine? Our plan is to travel all across the U.S. And Canada for the next 2 years.

I think you are approaching this all wrong. Tell us why you like one over the other. I don't mean to punt on you here but these 2 coaches aren't fair to compare and the differences are too many to mention.

Huge difference in coaches. If you are really going to be traveling all across the country and Canada, why consider the gasser at all (and an entry level gasser at that?). I mean no disrespect, but those coaches are on completely opposite ends of the spectrum imo

Sounds like you are going to be a driver vs. a sitter.

Take them both for a spin.

I'm with the others. Apples & oranges here. How do YOU want to use the RV?

If you're considering the 2016, search for the threads on the 6spd issues.

Another question that needs answered is, Will you be towing something behind the motorhome?

You have locked in on two completely different models. Decide if you want a DP, and if you do, then search for one. Don't start with a specific one (even if it is on a local lot).

For $109K I could easily upgrade to a Revolution or Providence....
