Which batteries...engine or house...or all of them?

Does everything else electrical work when plugged into shore power?

And, do you have a converter or inverter/charger?

On shore power? Generator?

both house and chassis batteries don't charge on shore power and don't charge with generator running, but will charge off engine alternator.

Before going any further, make sure the connections at both battery and converter are clean and tight.

How long ago did it stop charging? Was anything done to the RV before it quit?

If you crossed the battery terminals, even for a second, the reverse polarity fuses will blow. They are on OR near the converter.

Is the battery disconnect ( Use/Store ) switch on ? It needs to be on for the converter to charge the battery.

Thanks for your comments, I first noticed it when we camped in late October, we were plugged in to shore power, but batteries didn't recharge while camped, motor just barely started and alternator then charged them. Got home and they charged through converter plugged in to power, then didn't charge on next camp trip while plugged in to shore power. Converter may be okay, or not, it does produce 13.6 volts output when tested now, I don't know yet if it does that all the time, or just doing it right now

I have disconnected all batteries, they are holding a charge okay, unhooked heavy wire from battery to converter, power from batteries was getting there, today I will check to see if the power from converter is getting to battery control center, and then to the batteries. I does from time to time get to batteries?? so it seems to be intermittent, don't know for sure if there is a solenoid in battery control center or not for the charging.

There is a silver solenoid in the BCC. It must close to charge the batteries. It sounds like it is not closing all the time.

We were a Fleetwood dealer. Fleetwood motor homes do charge both sets of batteries when plugged in or the generator is running.

Thank you, I haven't gotten there yet, to that solenoid, but that is where I wondered if something was there for the charging
