Couch or loveseat

Hi all, when my wife and I picked up our used motorhome we notice that the couch (jackknife style) was pretty worn and on the dirty side so we decided to have it removed from our coach. Well, now the fun has begun. The area where it has to fit is 69 inches wide. There doesn't seem to be anything out there that will fit in that spot. Have any of you changed out your couch and had the same experience? If you found anything that would fit in the same spot that isn't a sleeper couch please let us know. We would like to get something that is a combo recliner, wall-away, love seat style. So far we have looked LazyBoy but haven't found anything that fits that isn't a gazillion dollars. Help!!!

Ray... if you are heading Louisville way...I have a Tan clothed Fleetwood couch in decent shape from my PARTS Bounder. But I can certainly empathize with the fact that you can get some nasty furniture in a used MH.

Thanks so much for your kind offer but we aren't heading that way anytime soon. But what we have found is kind of neat. It's leather love seat/recliner at Costco. It's a wall away and it's electric. It really is comfortable and it will fit on the slide just right. My only concern is that we have to either be hooked up or have the genny running to adjust the seats. I am also thinking about a good inverter/converter/charger and if that comes to pass we should be able to run the seat with. The best part is the price. It's $800 +tax. That's a whole bunch less than anything LazyBoy has that's comparable. For another $100 they have a full sized couch with two recliners. We are thinking of buying two of them for at home. Costco will like us. Now if we can just get them all delivered.

We replaced our couch with 2 Euro Recliners. Looks great and is very comfortable. See attached.

Hi jlfbatonrg, I like what you did. I had suggested that same thing to my wife but she wants a couch/loveseat. Sorry. I have one of those like yours in my office. I like it very much. It's comfortable. I sleep quite well in it.

I want a couch to replace Euro and table/chairs but I want something longer, like 96 to 102" long. I often sleep on couch so want a comfortable one but do not want a sofa bed, just couch/sofa. Would prefer one with drawers underneath but that is not a must. A fellow IRV2 poster sent me a pic of his that was already in coach when they got it, and it looks so nice and comfortable. He has G7 also and the couch pretty much fills the atrium slide. I have been searching the Internet and have not come up with one very simular. Probably more demand for something of less length and those that make a bed seem to be the norm. Anyway, if anyone see something such as this I'd sure like to know where.

Ray, good luck in your search.

Thanks Bill, you know for what you are wanting, it might be a great idea to build a base cabinet with drawers and then have a couple of foam cushions made to fit it. We had something like that in one of our travel trailers and it was one of the most comfortable beds I ever slept in. You just have to make sure you get really good foam. I had even thought about doing that in our m/h but the wifey doesn't want it that way. Whatever.

You might be surprised at just how helpful Fleetwood is at helping people even with older units, they might be able to tell you which manufactures make something like what your looking for.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will give them a call Monday. I was going to see if they can help out with a couple of other things too.

That is a idea but don't think my wife would go for it, but she sure likes the long one in the pic the gentleman sent me. Must be right at nine feet long and looks so comfortable.

custom sofa/couches

Possible option.

A fellow IRV2 poster sent me pics of his couch that was in their MH when purchased. It was over 100" long (just about filling his atrim slide), looked very comfortable, ultra leather, had two drawers underneather, and even folder out for 4' wide bed. I really liked what I saw in pics and information he gave me. He did some research and found that it was made by Villa International of CA. Has anyone here used Villa or another custom RV furniture builder?
