dash AC freightliner chassis 2007 discovery
My green light in the control panel will not light up when I push it. All I get is warm air. Is it possible that a fuse is blown to compressor? It has been working but not putting out any cool air. just mediocre. Any suggestions?

Reduced cooling then the compressor doesn't come on at all sounds like maybe the low pressure switch has turned the compressor off to protect it. If you have a complete A/C manifold gauge set you can add refrigerant, but it won't cure the leak. Might be time for a professional. The Walmart type refrigerant kits with a hose and the one low pressure gauge can overcharge the system. With the R-134a overcharging can be almost as bad as undercharging.

You could check for a blown fuse in the chassis fuse panel, but I really suspect low refrigerant. If you know where to look for the low pressure switch, you could jumper past it and see if the compressor engages. Don't let it run with low pressure, but it would eliminate other issues.

Might want to get a volt meter and check for proper voltage first.

How would voltage get improper? It's coming from the chassis circuits which should all be normal if the engine is running, which it would have to be to test the engine run A/C compressor.

Technically I guess it could be called low voltage if the low pressure switch opens and doesn't allow power through to the electric clutch on the compressor. I'd not spend much time searching for 'low' voltage, but jumping or by-passing the low pressure switch to test the compressor operation would verify, without an expensive A/C manifold gauge set that a lack of refrigerant is the issue.
The A/C fuse and relay would be with the other chassis fuses.

where would I find the chassis fuse panel? There is nothing under the hood area. There is some fuses inside in the compartment hidden by the console or little vanity. I have two fuse boxes back in the compartment near the LP gas compartment on the passenger side.

The chassis fuses could be under the dash, perhaps a part of the dashboard lifts out to cover it. What chassis do you have? Spartan has a dedicated compartment in front of left front wheel for electrical components.
Another suggestion, turn on turn signals or emergency flasher and track down the sound of the flasher, it's often installed on the chassis fuse/relay panel.

Hey ALL:
Thought I would give you an update. There is a in line fuse under the dash clear up by the back of the blower motor. It is a tube type fuse. However, that really wasn't the problem. My compressor had to be replaced as well. That would be the reason the fuse blew. We had a shop in Vidalia, LA do the work which they did on a Saturday to get us back on the road. The shop is Taylor Boy Paint and Body. Owner is Fred Taylor. Hard working and honest. Don't be fooled by name of the shop they can do about anything.
