Our 17 Discovery has, I believe a 13 gal DEF tank.

My 2015 also has a 13 gallon tank

The gauge is not calibrated. After 5 gal used, I show only 1/2 tank remaining. Should be 6.5 gal used. Again OEM is optimistic so you dont run out once it is near empty reading, like gas gauges.

I carry a spare 2.5 gal def just in case.

On our 2018 44H, the DEF tank is right behind the tag axel on the drivers side and is 13 gallon according to our owners Manual.


Pick up a $9 jug of DEF from Walmart and carry it as a spare if you’re afraid of running out.


I just stop and add DEF when the dash gauge indicates 1 Bar remaining. I never let it get below 1/4 Tank that way.
