So today I went back out to the RV to continue teardown. I'm really wanting to finish with the kitchen area.

The countertop is made of a white material that is glued or caulked down over the sink and stove.

Since I am going to install a different kitchen setup, I decided the countertop was not worth saving. Here comes the crowbar & hammer!

Yup, it looks like it is caulked down alright.

Taking a break from the countertop, I went back underneath the sink to loosen the faucet.

Next was the faucet water lines.

Onto the other sink fixture!
The water line connection to it did not want to loosen, so I used the oscillating tool and cut the line.

After loosening the plastic nut on top, it was out.

Back to the countertop now that the fixtures are out.

The countertop still did not want to budge so I thought I should cut it so it would be easier to pry up the portion above the sink.

The cut pieces and shavings of the countertop smelled very bad. I had no idea.

I tried prying the countertop up again on just the stove side. Still difficult to loosen. But, I finally was able to get it propped up enough to wiggle the stove out a little! Wooo hooo!

Now I need to finish disconnecting the gas line before I pull it too far out. The connection is located on the bottom right of the stove top, underneath the covers.

I've fallen a bit behind on posting! Got some more pics to share and also some exciting news (for me at least!): I finally have started v-logs to share!!!!!

These updates were from the work I did about 3 days ago.

In order to finish removing the stove, we need to disconnect the propane line.

Look at the watermarks from the damage it caused. I wonder how exactly water leaked down there.Click image for larger version

Now I removed the platform the stove was on which exposes the furnace.Attachment 280492

Yikes! Look at all the water damage on the wall behind the stove. Must have been there for years????Attachment 280490Attachment 280491

Now here are some more open pics of the damage to the steel frame behind and near the stove. I would never had known unless I had done this removal.Attachment 280494Attachment 280493Attachment 280495Click image for larger version

Here are a couple of chunks of the wall (panel, luan, beadboard insulation, and a layer off the fiberglass exterior) from a damaged area. Click image for larger version

Now I started on gutting the wall behind the stove.Attachment 280509

I first used an oscillating tool to cut lines in the wall vertically then horizontally in order to chisel out the pieces easier.Attachment 280510Attachment 280511Attachment 280512Click image for larger version

Here is a chunk removed that took the outer layer of the fiberglass with it. It was so wet that it just peeled off with little effort.Attachment 280517Attachment 280519Attachment 280518

Here is the area before the remaining beadboard was sheared off.Attachment 280520

Here is after I used the oscillating tool to shear off the remaining beadboard insulation.Attachment 280522

I do not know how much fiberglass is left in this spot.
Attachment 280521Attachment 280523

And finally, here are some pieces of the steel frame that came off because they were so badly damaged.Click image for larger version
