Discovery 40D Sleep Number Bed ?

We will be taking delivery of our new 40D in a few days. The bed in this coach has to fold to about 45 degrees when the slides pull in. We would like to replace the standard mattress with a Sleep Number Bed. Has anyone done this on a bed frame that inclines to 45 degrees?
Thanks,

If you replace the memory foam or air mattress with anything make sure it can fold up 45d. Some mattress' have stiffeners, ie metal in them. Thats why OEM uses foam, air. We like the memory foam, took couple nights getting used to.
The air mattress on the couch leaks and is lumpier.

Air mattress will expand as you go up in elevation. Mountain passes are the enemy of air mattress. My $1200 Sleep Lumper went pop. I forgot to deflate it before going high elevation.

Thanks for the replies. Tonight will be our first night in the new rig so we'll find out how the foam mattress sleeps. I would love to have this be the first rig we didn't have change out the bed.

Out of four 5th wheels we changed could it out within the first week of ownership. In 2017 40D mattress is better then the one we have in our stick and brick house and say that after 160 plus nights camping.

LOL, Fleetwood must have changed mattress vendors, after one night I'm ready to pitch this one in the trash! Very firm, ok when your on your back but murder when you attempt to sleep on your side.

We had a new Denver RV Supreme Euro mattress installed yesterday. What a difference a day makes! The Denver mattress is almost as good as our SN bed in the sticks & Bricks. First good nights sleep we have had since we bought this RV.

We used to raise the bed 45 or so to access the storage area underneath and our air-type bed never burped or groaned. The bend was roughly 1/3 down from the head of the bed.
Caveat: our air bed was a Bear brand mattress, not Sleep Number.

Thanks,
I put https://hovement.com/best-king-size-mattress-reviews/ mattress on top of sleep number and the crap is gone. The mattress is almost as good as our SN bed in the sticks & Bricks. Since we bought this mattress, good nights have been easy to come along, despite how tiresome the day way.
