I raised the king bed in our 2015 40X with the memory foam mattress off the pedestal. Now the bed won't go back down. Does the weight of the mattress need to be there to make the arms go down or have my arms gone bad?

Maneuvering a king mattress in our bedroom is a real trick. In order to get the bed to come down my wife crawled around so she could lean back against the bed. It works fine. With the bed raised there is no way to get the mattress back on the bed. Live and learn! Full time RVing definitely keeps things interesting. Every time I think I have things figured out something happens to show me how little I know. This site is a lifesaver. Thanks to all.
