Discovery Brake Controller Hook Up

Searched high and low and did not see any info on hooking up a break controller. Saw lots of posts where people say just look for the blue wire. Thought I would go ahead and post up my results for others in the future.

Found the wiring harness directly behind the steering column.

Called Tekonsha before I stater this endeavor to ask about a plug in wiring harnes adaptor, they had no clue, so just skipped it, and spliced into the wires.

The wires are as follows:
Big Fat Pink= Power
Small Little Pink= Brake Light Wire
Black= Ground
Blue= Trailer Brake Line

Whole thing start to finish took about 15-20 minutes. Really wanted to mount the brake controller on the left side of steering wheel so as not to be seen when walking into the coach, but there is just not a lot of room over there to do a real clean look. Ended up putting the controller under the ignition switch and tucked back as far as possible so its flush with dash.

Discovery Brake Controller Hook Up

Thank you. Did your brake controller come with it's own plug then?

Yes, the brake controller comes with its own wiring harness.
