I usually start our Text to the kids with "Here is the BigD2 new home as shown in the Glympse." Glympse is a neat APP on my cell phone where it shows your location and can even track you showing you on Google Earth type view. When viewed on a computer screen my granddaughter can zoom in and actually see the campsite we are sitting in, or if we are in an interesting location like Capulin Volcano National Monument in NM she can see us walking around the rim of the volcano and maybe prompt her to learn about volcanos a bit. Here is a web link: Get Glympse: Glympse

Thanks Bigd, Pete I've downloaded and will give it a try. One thing I've noticed is it shows my present location being at my neighbors house. That's a pretty good distance since we live in the country. Could get me in trouble with DW or the neighbor! lol

All depends on what your neighbor looks like
The Glympse is only as accurate as your cell phone built in GPS is. When I was home and playing around with this App, I could see what room I was sitting in! In fact one person I sent the Glimpse to told me I was spending way to much time in the bathroom!
When we went to the DOAI Discovery Rally in Wyoming back in August (61 Discovery coaches), a bunch of us used this app sent to a special Glympse group to see everyone converging on the rally location. That way we could tell if a rally bound couple was close to us as were heading West. When my sister was returning from Alaska to Fort Myers, Fl in her SOB, we wanted to meet in Montana. Using this App I could see where she was, and I put the peddle to the metal to beat her to the campground (just a little sibling rivalry going on there) get set up and seated with a cold one saying "what took you so long?"
Our Current Location is:

Any discovery owners out there have the Blue Ox True center on their coach? Mine is a 2010 spartan chassis. Would like to know how good it helps on similar rig. I know about the front blowout help. Want to know about handling in general? Thanks, JD

We fell in love with the 40e floor plan at the Hershey show and would like to upgrade to it in the next year or two. I don't see a lot of talk about it and it only seems to get mentioned occasionally. What's the general consensus on that model from the people who own discoveries? Any drawbacks or regrets on the 40e?

We've had DISCO for almost a year and no regrets at all. We have made a few mod's and add on's, with a few more to go. She is comfortable to drive, great handling, open-well laid out inside and for it's price point very luxurious (to us anyway). Everybody who visits loves the coach. For two people with dogs, with the occasional overnight kid, I think this is the best floorplan in the Discovery line.

Do you still own your 2013 discovery? We are looking at a 40X tomorrow...everything looks good and think we will take it home. Still need to drive. All I read has been pretty good but current owners are the bet source of info. Thanks.

Bought our new 40E in March in Mesa AZ. Got 7k miles on it so far. The ride, handling, comfort, amenities, room, power, improved MPG over our traded in '11 Bounder are huge. Should have bought our 3rd RV 1st. Wasted $75k. Only reason we would go back to a house would be that we can't climb the stairs when were too old. Wife does not miss the house either, since the Discovery is way more luxurious than any of our houses. Got rid of the house so we can have good neighbors....
