I HAVE A 2005 DISCOVERY AND THE MAIN BATTERIES WILL NOT HOLD A CHARGE FOR OVER 1 WEEK. I HAVE TO USE THE AUX. BATTERIES TO CRANK THE ENGINE. THIS WAS NOT LIKE THIS UNTIL RECENTLY. DOES ANYONE HAVE A IDEA WHY THE MAIN BATTERIES ARE BEING DRAINED AND HOW CAN I CORRECT THIS PROBLEM.

I'd suggest you have the battery tested first. It could have just gone bad (shorted cell) even if near new. If good, then proceed to your fuse blocks. Pull each fuse and put a meter across the contacts to find out which one is drawing current and should not be. After that, it is unhooking everthing on that circuit til the culprit is found and repaired. Not much fun, but one step at a time will get'r done.

If you have one or more bad batteries in the house set, the house charge voltage will never get high enough for the battery isolator relay to engage and charge the chassis batteries while on shore power. They will eventually run down if that happens.
Most battery controllers (isolators) require a charging voltage of 13.4V before they will clode the relay that engages charging for the chassis batteries.

That is what I would do first

I have a 2007 Discovery 39L with the same problem. Dealer checked the main batteries which had dead cells so they were both replaced. The RV is connected to 50AMP service and being lived in daily. If we do not start the engine every three to four days it will not crank. Running the generator does not charge the main batteries. The emergency start switch does nothing to help. We have to connect a single battery jumper cable from the positive side of the house battery to the positive side of the main battery bus board. Once we let it set for about 10 minutes it will start right up. It's under warranty so we will get it checked again but since it is being lived in we can not take in to the dealer yet. I was told that I need to check to see if the inverter is connected directly to the battery or the starter solnoid. If it's connected to the battery it will drain the battery. I am currently loaning the RV to a family member in Florida, once I can get down to Florida I will check it out. Does anyone have any other sugestions or know of web sites I can check?

YOu hve a charge controller that connects the chassis and house batteries together for cahrging from shore power under the right conditions. "Right" means the house batteries have to reach about 13.3v and if one or more of the house batteries are in poor condition, it will never get that high. This allows the chassis batteries to discharge under normal loads.
The emergency start switch has to have a bit of 12v power to work, so have the dealer check the switch and its power source.
