I may be biased but I think Tiffin dollar for dollar builds a better coach. And their service is second to none.

MHSRV does have good prices, but once you buy, forget about service.

Well I have looked and looked at Tiffin, both 44OH and 40 IH for over a year. Got special order pricing on both through Sherman and even Vogt in Dallas. Sherman got close to 29% off and when ordering, you can get exactly the features you want and not pay for the ones the dealer thinks you need. Test drove both and actually put up my old coach for sale and sold it. Had 3 months to wait on the 44OH to be built but the whole time a little voice was telling me to wait. The Test drives were good but not quite the upgrade I was expecting. So I went with my head and before the deal was made i backed out of the sale of my Winnebago and canceled the Tiffin. Yes the room and floor plan were both good but the material and size of the shower bothered me. The cabinets in the Tiffin are excellent but also a bit over sized (for me) The ones above your head gave me a cave like feel. Yes the research showed the Tiffin service was excellent (mostly) from Red Bay but not as much from the dealers. And a lot of people seemed to need service in reading all the forums. So we continued on with Our Winnie... Then just 2 months ago we saw a Discovery LXE 40M and cautiously looked , Test drove one and just loved it. It had all the things we wanted in the Tiffin plus way more. Drove like a dream and checked all our boxes. It just felt right, we both were surprised and enamored with it and bought it. Not something we ever do. The dealer had it on their lot at a price lower that MHSRV in Alvarado and it was over 50K lower than the Tiffin, and loaded to the brim. We spent 4 days at Dixie RV did all the paperwork and completed our 16+ Item punch list and we were on our way. Did a 3k trip with it stopped back at Dixie had them do a few more adjustments and now we are on our 2nd 3k trip to Colorado. The quality in this coach is way above the 16/17/18 model years of Discovery's we saw in the past. I still have not read or found any real Horror stories about them yet (sure their out there) but as of now we are extremely happy campers and can't believe we bought this one and how much we love the floor plan. We feel it was the right move, only time will tell. Got a big Michigan trip planned for next year so we are going to stop by REV and do a factory tour. The more research and forums we join we keep finding new features included in this coach that were not promoted that much. Dixie was unbelievably great as a dealer. Due to Covid and the paperwork slow down my 1st payment was due before the bank processed the loan .....unknown to me, Dixie sent in the first payment with the paperwork and made it for us.....

The 40M floorplan is perfect for us as any coach there are a few things so let me mention them. The half bath door is tight to get in when traveling. If you use the generator with the AC when traveling a few vents are over the slides in the front AC unit. The tank gauges even though digital still only do empty, 33%, 67%, and full. Love the Bathroom, Shower, Firefly display with remote phone app, full side awnings (2 girards) digital dash and displays, Dometic freeze/fridge out side, dual pull out trays. Tech package and solar panels just to mention a few. However Factory service and support is still an unkown. So right now it's still the honeymoon.....time will tell. SO FAR SO GOOD!
