Do I have an inverter?
Do I have an inverter on my 1999 34J Bounder? Never needed one, but now I do. If I do, I have never seen it or knew what I was looking at. I now need to run a CPAP machine and wonder what size to buy if I need it. I have a converter, but don't think it is a combination of the two... Thanks

More efficient to get a 12volt adapter for your Cpap if available.

I agree a 12 volt CPAP is the better option.
If televisions work when you have no shore or generator power, You have an inverter..
CPAP machines come in 4 flavors for this , (2x2)
120 volt only
120/12 volt (With power brick or wall wart)
Heated Or Humidified
Not heated or humidified
Heaters/humidifiers suck major power. You may need a battery upgrade.
12 volt can be used without an inverter.
I got lucky.. Doctors (2 out of 3) insisted I had sleep apena and needed a CPAP or one of its cousins (BIAP) Went for sleep study and the doctor there joined the miniorty.. I don't need it. But many of my friends do, including my son in law.

From what I have seen and have learned after speaking with my respiratory therapist...just check the transformer..id it is 12v hust get your self an adapter...not one from the cpap company but you can find some even at walmart for less than $30

George... I use a 375W Trip Lite inverter for my CPAP and that is a bit of over kill
The PV375 Trip lite cost me a whopping $13 on Ebay...used....and if you could sneak a peek at my install you would smile.
I took the hint from a conversation I was having on this forum concerning solar power and we walked down the inverter path ... I have a set of PV375 models and a single PV150...I am thinking the PV150 could easily handle the CPAP but not the heater too.

Thanks to all for your inputs. Yes, I have the humidifier...however when we dry camp in south Texas or any place around here, I run the gererator for the ac. I may not need an inverter as I run the gen most of the time for cooling. Thanks again.

Re reading the nice posts, but "do I have an inverter on this model"? If so, where might it be...I have been all over this unit, but never saw what I thought was a inverter....

You do NOT have an inverter in your Bounder unless you put it there.
