Dometic 321 toilet

Flush ball has quit working on my six year old Dometic 321 toilet. Pedal still allows water to property fill but the flush ball does not open. Dometic customer service states unlike the 310 series it's not fixable and must be replaced. But then they mentioned that something might just be out of alignment. Has anyone dealt with this model and this issue? We are in week five of an eight week trip, if I can fix on the road that would be a blessing. Thanks in advance.

If the ball pivot arm becomes dislodged while cleaning inside the base beneath the flush ball and seal, re-engage it into
the pivot point.
Refer to Figure 16 for the location of the pivot point

See pg 13 for location

Other then that not much else can be done except replace the toilet

***300/310/320 series are all the same ---very few replacement parts
Not sure what 'customer service' was talking about
