Electrical gremlin or?

Hello everyone. We have a 2016 freightliner xcm chassis with tag axle coach (monaco diplomat df built by Rev group)
Today while driving to california an alarm started beeping, all gauges died, (tachometer, speedometer, and all fluid gauges) def digital display started flashing, the freightliner information display screen flashed all icons like it was rebooting. This lasted for 15 second then the displays came back to life. The transmission downshifted to 2nd gear as I decelerated without intention. Pushing on gas pedal did nothing. We pulled over on shoulder of interstate and came to a complete stop and then everything returned to normal. After the incident we travelled 400 more miles without any issue.

Was this a temporary short where computer thought def was low and started the shutdown process? (Def was full) just a guess. I have no idea

Has this happened to anyone? It was a little concerning to say the least.

Thanks for any suggestions

I would tend to think that if it was a short that a fuse would probably blow.
It seems that more times than not there's an intermittent ground connection. I have had some luck slightly loosening than tightening down the ground. Sorry I can't be of more help. At least we got a little bump....
