Electrical problems

My brother has a 1999 American eagle. He has no power to his receptacles when he is plugged up to 110 ac. When he starts his generator all receptacles have power and his ac's work fine. Any help would be appreciated.

If this has a power cord reel I saw a post a while back about the contacts that allow it to rotate wearing out and losing continuity. If that's not it, the only other thing that pops into mind is a hidden GFI outlet somewhere, but I doubt that would take 110 out of the whole coach. Good luck.

Check the marine style 50 amp plug in the electrical bay.

Eagles of this vintage do not use the inverter to supply A/C power to the receptacles, so it must be simply that the plug needs to be re-seated to the receptacle.

These plugs are a bayonet style, insert and turn to the right to fully establish the connection.

Potential transfer switch issue is what I am thinking, loose or damaged contacts on the shore power side.

When plugged in to shore power and the outlets are not working does the other 110 stuff work (microwave?). If not check power transfer switch

Could be the transfer switch going bad. Others on here can tell you here to trouble shoot.
