EMS relay switch board

I have a 2008 Fleetwood Providence. I am looking for guidance. I have a relay switch on my EMS circuit board (Intellect part # 73-00894, that is no longer providing current to my hot water heater. All other points on the board are working properly. I have switched the breaker for the hot water off and using propane to heat water. There is 2 circuit boards under the breakers, the top board has relays and connections for the live wires from the breaker box. The bottom board which is divide by a plastic plate has the harness clips that run to the PC control board at the front of the coach. My question is do I have to replace both boards or just the board with the relays ? How difficult is this for someone with limited electrical knowledge ?

I have the same issue with my 2008 Bounder. I bypassed the water heater connections to the EMS board with a wire nut about 5 years ago. All the EMS does is monitor the load and shed circuits when the current draw gets to high. With the Water heater bypassed it will now shed one of the air conditioners first instead of the water heater. Some day when I run out of things to do I will replace the relay.
Replacing the board is not difficult, replacing the relay on the board can be.

Just a quick note. My EMS wasn't working sensing input power correctly. 30amp cord showed up as 50 amps and vice versa, my air conditioners would not work. I talked to tech support and I had the washer/dryer breaker off. You cannot do that. All breakers installed in the panel must be turned on even if you don't plan on using the appliance. Everything works as expected when I turned breaker back on. Just FYI. Hope it helps someone.

Thanks for your feedback. How do you manage the heat and pressure that builds by constantly having your heater element heating your water tank ?

The water is not constantly heated. The normal water temp is controlled by a temp sensor mounted on the water heater, normally set to 140 degrees, it is not monitored by the EMS. There is also a ECO in series with the tank mounted temp sensor set to 170 degrees. If either temp is exceeded the power to the heating element is interrupted. There is also a over temp/over pressure valve on the water heater just like the water heater in your house, in fact they are interchangeable. All the EMS does is monitor TOTAL current draw and shed load when it gets to high.
