Engine temp light and buzzer 96 eagle

When pulling a hill with the enclosed trailer high heat light will come on at 200 degrees and buzzer(new sensor). See a lot of posts where engine temp went to 210 plus on hills and no mention of a warning signal. Wouldn't think 200 would be that big of a deal on a long pull. Any other eagle or 8.3L engine owners have this happen? Thanks

Just returned from an 1800 mile trip from NE Florida up to central VA, then SW VA (I-81S mountains)and up I-81N (mountains again between Blacksburg and Salem VA) to Dumfries VA which was the last leg from Dumfries VA to NE Florida

Kept the revs up above 2000 going up and down the mountains, gauge hit 200 but no warnings of any kind.

Of course you never know how accurate everthing is, but getting up to 200 for a short period of time should not present any problems.

Our C8.3 mechanical (your engine) cooled back down to her normal 190 coming down the grades.

Gauge reads right at 180 except when pulling hills. Oil temp also goes up telling me the gauge may be wrong. going to replace the gauge and sending unit with a autometer set and see what it does.
