Hi folks, Mr Askit here.
I got a used 2017 Bounder 35K. The previous owner had Direct TV mounted and removed. I have a tv over the driving area, one in the living area, one in the bedroom, and an outside tv which I think is stand alone.
If I plug a dvd in the player over the sofa and I can hear it over the house speakers. But no picture.

Being I have no owners manual for this motorhome (as there is none to be had) is there a source or website that shows how this all works?

I am guessing someone unplugged something. Or the switching box don’t switch.

I’m a simple guy. I’m looking to have a Blu-ray DVD player for each tv. Mount a sound bar over the fireplace.
Does my chassis radio in the dash operate through all this couch speaker system? I’d just as soon pull the stuff out of the cabinets over the dinette and living room , speakers, dvd placer etc, to make more room.

You'll just have to start playing with things and see how they are connected. In our Bounder, the dash radio does play in the bedroom speakers by adjusting the "fade" button on the radio, IIRC.

Remember that each time you change the input for your TV, you also need to go into the TV menu and select that input (and sometimes scan for channels).

Since your RV is previously-owned, there's no telling what the previous owner changed as far as audio/video. Our surround sound has never worked with normal TV or cable, but works great with blue ray (which we never watch.) We did install a sound bar on the TV across from the sofa, which really helped since the Sony TV has poor audio for some reason.

You didn't mention if you went into the TV and switched the "input" to whatever input the DVD is plugged into, such as HDMI 1,HDMI 2, or whatever.

The DVD player audio will come out through the sound bar and the 2 house speakers (we have a Southwind 37h) so ours are over the couch and dining booth.
Video is only available on the midship tv and it must be set to HDMI 1 as a source.
Still have yet to figure out the satellite wiring!

The bedroom tv has no inputs anymore other than the coax cable for local cable which usually is poor quality. The previous owner had a roof mounted Direct TV dish of some sort. It;s been removed but the wiring is all still there.

I had a nice Yamaha sound bar at home so I mounted that under the living room TV. Works and sounds better than the stuff that was in the rig. I also put a WiFi Blu Ray \DVD unit over the fire place with Velcro. About $100 spent on the living room and have a nice system now and as long as I have decent WiFi I can watch Netflix and other online type stuff. I'll mount a "same as in the living room" Samsung disc unit in the bedroom and just eliminate the player over the sofa and have more room to store stuff.

So these come from the factory like that? All that wiring and equipment and video only in the living room and surround sound only with the disc player? That sounds ridiculous. I thought I had a mass of missing wires and cables.

I did try out the factory surround sound. It was okay, nothing to write home about.

This Yamaha sound bar sounds great. And it works with anything not just disc. I can even connect my iPhone to it so I can listen to music etc. And the new Samsung WiFi BluRay/DVD is so much better. I can do my Netflix and Pandora. I'm guessing at some parks the WiFi will be lousy and that won't work.

I'm not sure what I am doing with the TV over the cab up front. I haven't quite figured out what purpose it serves yet. Wonder if the mirror and back up cameras can be hooked in?

And I've never seen anyone use the outside TV. Either too much sun in the day or cold at night. But not much to do with that area so I'll leave it as is.

One more question.

I am guessing not all 120 volt receptacles are created equal. Some operate down the highway via the inverter/converter, IE Fridge and entertainment stuff. And some don't IE Microwave. Am I correct on this?

Correct, but I rewired mine so most are now on the inverter circuit. There are limits to what I can now run on the outlets though. You can get the 120v wiring schematics from REV customer service.

Send an email to Fleetwood RV, giving them both your VIN and FIN, and explain that you have a unit with no documentation - they'll send you all the wiring diagrams, and plumbing diagrams for your unit. They might even send you their generic owners manual. For all the appliances, electronics, etc. just go online and google "<device model number> owners manual" and you should find a pdf file for that device - usually on the website for the device manufacturer.

There is a sticky in this forum for Fleetwood manuals. Check it out. https://www.fleetwoodrv.com/resource...lass_A_Gas.pdf

LOL. Been there, done that. I got reams of generic stuff but not much helpful stuff. I can honestly say being I am the second owner of a 2017 model with 7,000 miles on it they look at me as trash.
I’m a pretty good wrench. Electronics is a weakness, but I do know how to read wireing schematics pretty well. Between myself and a shop tech at a Fleetwood dealer we spent about two weeks trying to locate the location of a ignition safety relay. The only advice they’d give us on the phone was to “follow the wires”. The tech spent almost 30 hours looking for the stupid thing. Finally gave up and wired in a new circuit.
I will look at the sticky to see if I can find my bedroom slide system and my levelling jack pump info. The tech at the shop has never seen a pump like what I have. I called REV and they told me what I have. But alas, it’s something different. I figured the pump out as far as getting the jacks up manually but there has to be a procedure. Ditto on the bedroom slide to open or close it manually.
The owners manual is a joke.

The sticky just has owners manuals. I’ve looked at that. Pretty generic and very little of it pertains to my Bounder.
One thing I haven’t tried is to get a build sheet. Hopefully they will let me have that. I can’t imagine they don’t have build sheets. With that at least I can get a list of my diffeeent components by model/make. Before when I asked REV for that they only sent me pictures, some were crude drawings, of components. IE, a picture of a slide frame. A picture of a Jack. A drawing (poorly done) of where satilitte cables were under the roof. I think they were screwing with me. I’ll call them Monday.
