I've never heard of wiring an inverter through the EMS, but doing so would allow the EMS to "shed" the load on the circuits that are supplied through the inverter. That typically includes the microwave as well as a number of convenience outlets, so it could be useful. I've never looked at mine, but since my Microwave is inverter-powered and (supposedly) managed by the EMS, it could be. You've got me curious now!
