Somewhere around 2 going uphill and 98 going downhill. Whatever that averages out to. For me I think it's around 7-8 MPG. I believe if anyone tells you they get 10+, they are lying.

I've recorded every gallon of gas I've put in mine since I bought it new in 2004.
I'm at 67,000 miles now and averaged 7.1 MPG, all pulling a toad.

Yeah...that "schedule" thing makes a difference.
I'm really looking forward to that Very foreign concept to me.
Once I have a destination, I want to get there. I don't go crazy, usually, but I want to get "there", where ever "there" happens to be.
Can't imagine the "Hey...let's stop here for awhile!" kind of trip

But I'm lucky, I don't run on a schedule and don't need to spend $50 extra bucks getting somewhere today while being blown all over the place, when I can get there tomorrow easy peasy. JMO, YMMV.

We have a 1998 Pace Arrow. We went out west in 2007. We averaged 7.84 mpg over 5359 miles. I came back home and started with the modifications. We went back out west in 2008. We drove 4863 miles and averaged 8.33 MPG. Returned to the west in 2009. Drove 6500 miles and averaged 8.32 MPG. I drive 61 to 62 miles per hour. 4000 to 4400 rpm up mountains.

I get 7.5 mpg @ 63 mph. However I don't worry about mileage when I eat and sleep in "Hoppie", grinning as I pass motels and cafes....

Best I can tell everyone agrees that many things influence the mileage. Lobstah has come to the same conclusion as I have, a 500 mile trip is 250.00 I may do better or worse here and there but that is what I factor in for fuel. Towing my trailer (single axle 12 X 6 enclosed with 2 motorcycles and all associated gas/gear) costs me about 1 MPG.
+ 1 to George Lewis too!

At some point fuel costs becomes a deciding factor, but for me it's not so much the +/- 1mpg.
We are thinking of joining some friends in Maryland this summer for a Thur-Sun long weekend. Last time, we took the coach. That would be 2,000mi r/t for us, so $1,000 in fuel. Not really worth it for a weekend where everyone else will be in tents
SOOOooooo...not sure what the plan will be if we go, but we might just take a car, buy a tent/beds/etc... and do the "rustic" thing It's all dry-camping anyway...and our friends would get a real kick out of it, because they always accuse us of "glamping"...
If fuel was half what it is?...for $500, we'd take the coach. But an extra mile or two per gallon won't tip the scales enough.
Normally, we'd grab a hotel room, but this event is inside the fair grounds...and a $10 donation gets you free beer for the whole weekend

Many variables for sure !! Sweet spot for me is 58-62 MPH -- the OD gear kicks in at cruise at 2,000 RPM
I'm loaded at 26,000 lbs and tow a 2009 Saturn Vue at 4,100 lbs
Best advice, keep your speed down and enjoy the ride !! Why rush
??

I have a friend who is checking out a 2003 PA 37A like yours. It's built on a W-22 Workhorse chassis with a max GVRW of 22,000# How are you getting away with loading to 26,000? Just asking. Thanks.

I am not a full time RVer but do enjoy getting out on the road for one or two months at a time. I figuared out before I got my 2012 33C Bounder that it would cost me $0.50 a mile and to my suprize that is where it has set as of today not saying tomorrow will be different. Take care and enjoy every minute on your travels and life will be kind to you. Take care freind

That's what we get with the Magna pulling our Odyssey. I'll take 7.1 with a 50,000# rig pulling another 4,500#'s with an ISX 650!
