Expedition transmission

Looking at a 2008 Expedition. I looked up brochure on this MH and it does not indicate what transmission is installed in these models. The engine is the 6.7 Cummins which is a very good engine. Is the Cummins a 3000 series or a 2000 series. Is it a 6 speed or a 5 speed?.. The MH has low mileage and looks to be in excellent condition. Any input will be appreciated... Thanks

Glad you got an answer specific to the particular coach you are looking at.


In general, the higher HP Cummins B powered coach come with the Allison 3000 series. This is true for both 5.9 and 6.7 liter B's.


And, absolutely the 3000 is the preferred transmission.
