Tom--When you say one deductible for multiple issues, is that per year or for the same visit to a shop or mobile tech (I've found them to be much faster in getting to us and less expensive than shop quotes).

Al, that's on one visit, so each "visit event" would be $100 deductibleOur coach is a 2007 purchased in Dec 2015 with 14k miles

Thanks Tom. So your coach was 8+ years old. I'd say a warrantee at $1600/year is a great price! I will be getting a quote from Wholesale Warrantees when it is time! Thanks for sharing.
As full timers we plan on many more years in the coach and, having experienced a few large bills, I don't mind paying up front for a little more security that my home won't suddenly deplete our meager savings!

Tom--See if your agent gives you any bennies for a referral and let me know. I'll be happy to use your name and agent. Even if it was a dealer, they might be willing cough up something. I once got a $50 gift certificate to a restaurant for such!

Al,
I went direct with WW rather than the dealer. I think there was a considerable cost savings. John Lechner was the "Specialist"

Hi Bernie,
I have a GS Extended Warranty/Service plan.
I took the $500 deductible but when in storage, November-April I raise it to $1000.
When I take it back out on the road, I call GS and return to the $500 level. When renewal comes around, a get a few hundred dollars credit for the time it was in storage at the higher deductible.
Two years ago when I bought the coach, with no maintenance records, I also took the seals and gaskets. If I remember, without looking, it wasn't that expensive.
So far, so good, I haven't had to use the coverage, although this Spring I have a couple issues I want looked at - so we'll see.
I plan on keeping this coach another 4 years, by then it will have reached its end of coverage life span - 18 years old. I will then get a newer model with the Newmar Comfort Drive - at that time, I will also look at Wholesale Warranties but right now, I'm good with GS.
On a side note - we never use to buy extended warranties - never!! I had one on a 2004 corvette purchased new - clutches went out in the transaxle 2 weeks before the policy ended and paid for itself. I would never, ever buy another appliance without an extended warranty - between the washing machine and refrigerator - both new - the extended warranties have also paid for themselves - and that is a total shame!!
Good luck - go with peach of mind.

Thanks Indy Glen...
I have taken the coverage but I think I am going to stick with the basic ... no additions. We can upgrade at renewal time to the extra or change the deductible, if we want to change.
I agree with extended warranties...for our home, we took a whole house warranty with American Home Shield. Best money we have ever spent. Whole house is covered. Over the years, it has changed to include even drips, toilets and such. So far, we have paid for the premium every year and have not purchased a new appliance in 25 years. There have been times that we have added money to upgrade an appliance when it was not worth repairing but have always had the option to replace "in-kind" at no cost.
Hopefully, we chose the best option on the extended warranty too...
Bernie

A quick update from an experience this week. Coach is in for service, awning, fabric not covered, knew that from seeing it in the exclusions, no problem.
Also have torn Double Bulb Seal (Fleetwood part description) on kitchen slide out.
Not Covered under seals and gaskets by WW. This was an unpleasant discovery. Seems according to them that this is "weather striping" rather than a seal. If it keeps out water, air, etc. it's not considered a seal even though that's what the manufacturer calls it. So just be aware of paying very careful attention to terms of exclusions.

My thanks to all of the comments.
After much thought, we decided to keep the 1K deductible and omit the Tire add on. Since we can change the deductible during the year and and or subtract the options at the renewal each year, we decided to go with the Seals/gaskets for at least the first year. I guess we will revisit this policy as we get more experience under our belts.
I understand that $1k is a large deductible but we are trying to cover the big items that could go wrong. Having a $500 deductible was more than 3x's the annual cost of the policy....so we shall see how it goes...
